Personal Organization 101
How to organize everything you do, for life and work, in one system: clarity, information management, productivity. The maturity model, the roadmap, my own setup.
What it is
A 90-minute workshop on Personal Organization as a whole. Not a task app tutorial. We start with a self-assessment (“how organized are you, really?”), go through why you need a system, the key principles of a good one, its three core elements (a clarity system, an information management system, a productivity system), and end with a roadmap to build yours step by step.
Where to find it
Bought on Gumroad or the store: your Gumroad library. Video and materials in the library.
Knowii member: Events and Office Hours archive (Knowledge Builder and Knowledge Master). Knowii members get their invites from me personally, within 24 to 48 hours of subscribing. Nothing yet? Write to sebastien@developassion.be.
Do this first
Do the self-assessment questions before watching the rest. Write your answers in your daily note. Be honest; nobody reads it but you. You’ll come back to these answers in three months and the delta is the point.
Then
- Watch the rest. Take notes on the three core elements and mark which one is your weakest. For most people it’s the productivity system (tasks and projects), because the information part is what they came for and the clarity part sounds abstract until Clarity 101.
- Follow the Personal Organization Roadmap from the linked notes. Start at the maturity level you actually are, not the one you’d like to be.
- If you have the Starter Kit: everything in the workshop maps to something that already exists in the vault (projects, tasks, goals, periodic notes). Set those up now.
Skip it if
You already run a GTD-style system you trust and your projects and tasks live in one place you review weekly. Then jump to Clarity 101.
What it leads to
Clarity 101. Organization tells you how to do things. Clarity tells you which things.
