Obsidian Starter Course

What it is

Two hours and twenty minutes of me walking through Obsidian and the Starter Kit: installation, interface, plugins, Markdown and YAML, then the methods behind the structure (PARA, Zettelkasten, Johnny Decimal, LIFT, atomic notes). It’s the video companion to the kit’s user guide.

Where to find it

Bought on Gumroad or the store: your Gumroad library. OSK Premium, Knowledge Worker Kit and Everything Knowledge Bundle buyers: same library, separate product.

Everyone who owns it, whichever way: you’re invited to Knowii, and the Obsidian Starter Course space has the same videos with progress tracking. Nicer than a folder of files; watch them there, and ask questions as comments directly under the lesson they’re about. Knowledge Builder and Knowledge Master tiers have it unlocked already.

Do this first

Watch the Obsidian basics and the vault tour with the kit open next to the video. Pause. Click the thing I click. Passive watching is how people end up “having watched the course” without being able to create a note.

Then

Watch the methods section (PARA, Zettelkasten, Johnny Decimal). This is the part people skip and then come back to three months later asking why their notes are a mess. Watch it now, while the vault is still small.

Skip it if

You read faster than you watch and the user guide already clicked. The course covers the same ground with more hand-holding. Both is overkill.
